Description
This pharmacy practice residency is conducted by Valley Health (Winchester Medical Center and Warren Memorial Hospital), and is affiliated with the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Experiences available include: internal medicine, critical care, cardiology/critical care, ambulatory care, drug information, infectious disease, NICU, anticoagulation, practice management, medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and nephrology. Activities with the School of Pharmacy include a monthly journal club and informational program, and Residency Teaching Certificate Program. Other activities include staffing (every third weekend), health-system committee participation, and community service. A residency research project and MUE are required to be completed.
