Description
Centra Health offers two residency positions. It provides residents with the opportunity to develop clinical skills through a variety of rotational and longitudinal learning experiences. The goal of the residency program is to teach residents the skills necessary for a clinical pharmacist to provide high quality patient-centered care, respect and compassion, life-long learning and development, community health, and financial stewardship. The program offers a unique curriculum through rotations such as neonatal intensive care, long term acute care, and clinical informatics along with fundamental learning experiences in order to prepare well-rounded clinicians. Residents work closely within an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. Residents have an opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate through Shenandoah University, provide lectures to medical residents, precept students, as well as provide in-services to hospital staff.
