VPhA’s annual Pharmacy Legislative Day is the cornerstone of the association’s legislative and public policy efforts. This is an opportunity to visit the Pocahontas building to meet with your legislator and discuss important policies impacting YOUR profession. This year’s event will return to the Capitol for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists to play a key role in influencing important legislation! We are still waiting on official guidance on what is permitted for lobby days and will be scaling back our normal event to comply with COVID-19 precautions.

Space is limited to 50 Pharmacy Professionals (Pharmacists and Technicians) and 10 Students per pharmacy school (40 total spots). Sign-ups will be honored on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • Register – VPhA Members ONLY event!
    • $30 – VPhA Members (must be logged in)
    • FREE! – VPhA Student Members
  • Clear your calendar on Wednesday, January 19, 2022
  • Plan to email or call your state senator and state representative the same day
  • Let us know who you contacted!

Tentative Schedule: 

7:00 AM
Welcome – Christina Barrille, Executive Director

Arrive for Sign-In, Breakfast, and an Overview of VPhA’ s legislative initiatives.

Receive Team Assignments

7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
Depart to General Assembly Building (Pocahontas Building) for the Roving Health fair, Advocacy Teams, Other Assignments

11:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Wrap up Team Events

Those Attendees going to the House/ Senate Gallery will head to the Capitol. All other Attendees will return to the Room
