CTA! HB2610/SB875 Contact VA Governor to Sign Save Local Pharmacies Act!

🚨 CALL TO ACTION: THE FIGHT ISN’T OVER! 🚨

Virginia pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and supporters – we need you NOW more than ever! The Save Local Pharmacies Act has passed the House and Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support, but it’s not law yet. The Governor must sign it—and we must ensure it happens WITHOUT DELAY to the implementation date of July 1, 2026.
For the entire month of March, we need all hands-on deck to flood the Governor’s office with letters and emails urging immediate action. The Governor’s office keeps a record of every letter received, so your voice matters! Send the letter from your pharmacy, share it with colleagues, and encourage them to do the same. Every letter sent adds pressure and reinforces that Virginians demand action to protect local pharmacies and patient access to care. We have included a pre-written letter in the linked button below. Simply download, fill out your information, and send!

However, writing to the Governor is just the first step. We also urge every member to reach out to your state representative—Delegate or Senator—and ask for their support in encouraging the Governor to sign this critical legislation. Remember, this bill passed with strong bipartisan support, showing that both parties recognize its importance. If your representative is a Republican, their advocacy is particularly crucial in lobbying the Governor on this vote.

If you are unsure who your representative is, you can find them [here].

While VPhA is leading the charge, we continue to work with other organizations such as CPESN and VCPA in this critical push and deeply appreciate everyone’s combined efforts—making calls, sending emails, and getting the word out. Your advocacy has been instrumental in getting us this far, and now we need to finish the fight!

📩 Take 5 minutes today—send your letter, contact your representative, and make an impact! Let’s flood their inboxes and make sure this bill is signed into law without changes or delays.
